25 Saturday Christmas Day.

Saint Venant.

Day’s holiday. Rabbit dinner provided by Capt Strange. Party at night, 6 of us. Fowls & rabbits.

Left St Venant, marched 6 miles, arrived at Isbergues. Billeted in barn, by munitions factory, which employed 5,000 hands. Hospital.


27 Monday

Isbergues.

Hospital duty.

Isbergues.

100 patients in hospital.

A & C Sect come and join us, after being left at St Venant.
